Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience or an Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or science related field
  • Must be willing and able to work a 8-hour rotating shift environment that includes holidays, weekends, and required overtime
  • Proficiency with a computer, including programs such as Word and Excel
  • Must be able to complete a background check and drug test successfully
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to work in a team environment
  • Must meet minimum physical requirements needed to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

  • 3 – 5 yrs. of chemical plant experience preferred
  • Experience working in control room operations operating from Distributed Control Systems
  • Ability to understand a multi-step chemical process
  • Previous experience testing samples in a lab
  • Previous experience operating a forklift
  • Have a strong work ethic and adapt quickly to new processes
  • Ability to create and maintain a safe work space based on company standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within an industrial setting
  • Ability to communicate through multiple layers of an organization

Responsibilities

  • Maintain control of the conversion of caprolactam through hydrolysis and poly condensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying, finishing into blending and packaging.
  • Maintain control of multiple utility systems to support the operation areas.
  • Monitor control information for an area and make adjustments as necessary to operate equipment and facilities, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Responsible for preventing spills and adhering to our commitment to protect the environment
  • Perform minor maintenance work
  • Additional responsibilities as needed
