About The Position

As a Field Technician at Spectrum, you will be delivering essential and innovative technology that people use in everyday life while consistently exceeding the expectations of our growing customer base. In this entry-level role, we will equip you with the proper training that will allow you to work efficiently in the field. Under supervision, your daily interactions will be customer-facing, as you install and repair services for our customers and educate them on proper use of their Spectrum services and equipment. You will perform basic installations, disconnects, downgrades, and upgrades for residential customers, all while providing world-class customer service. The Field Technician will also be trained to complete reconnects.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Problem solver with a technical aptitude
• Ability to use computer and software applications
• Ability to accurately measure distances using measuring tape
• Ability to work with hand tools
• Strong communication and professionalism skills
• Time management and organization skills
• Critical thinking and responsible/reliable attitude
• Ability to interpret analytics from soft tools such as meters and handheld devices
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Valid Driver's license with satisfactory driving record

Responsibilities

• Install and repair services for customers
• Educate customers on proper use of Spectrum services and equipment
• Perform installations, disconnects, downgrades, and upgrades for residential customers
• Complete reconnects as trained
• Work independently with minimal supervision in a field-oriented role
