About The Position

Do you enjoy solving technical problems and helping people feel confident with the tools they use? Are you energized by the idea of working hands-on with cutting-edge telecom systems? IdeaTek is looking for a Field Technician to support the installation and management of VoIP systems and fiber equipment. In this hybrid role, you’ll work directly with customers, support technical operations, and play a key role in expanding and maintaining high-quality phone and internet services. If you’re curious, tech-savvy, and thrive on delivering great support experiences—we want to hear from you. This role will be working from our Buhler, KS office. This position will have the opportunity to work in the field and also in an office setting. A Day in the Life You’ll start your day with a mix of planning and prep—whether that’s reviewing a scheduled install, updating documentation, or stocking hardware. You might head into the field to install a new device or configure a VoIP phone system. In between, you’ll support customers over the phone, assist with internal tickets, and document systems to ensure repeatable, high-quality service. No two days are exactly the same, and you’ll get to problem-solve at every turn.
