Responsible for monitoring and resolving network issues, supporting customer installations, and maintaining accurate network documentation. Performs installation and testing of network nodes and colocation sites, and provides emergency restoration for fiber and equipment. Maintains colocation facilities and participates in a 24x7 on-call rotation for Tier I network support. • Receive, monitor, analyze, and resolve network problems in a timely manner with minimal oversight. • Coordinate and perform new customer installations for wholesale, enterprise, and colocation customers. This could include structured wiring, NID installation and the addition of pluggable cards and jumpers at the Fiber locations. • Provide proper documentation of network (Site Audit’s, and Inventory Databases). • Provide installation, test and acceptance for nodes and collocations into network. • Support emergency restoration for aerial and/or buried fiber optic cable in network. • Provide emergency restoration support for network equipment.
