NOW HIRING A fIELD tECHNICIAN: The Field Technician will be responsible for responding to service orders and trouble tickets and supporting the installation, maintenance, repair, removal or migration of telecom equipment and services. The Network Technician is expected to demonstrate self-motivation, capable of making prudent decisions even in high-pressure situations. Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative team-building approach, and a dedication to delivering outstanding customer service are indispensable qualities for this role.

Requirements

An associate degree in a related field or five (5) years of telecommunications experience is required.
Prior experience in electrical transmission cable/systems and fiber optic cabling is required.
Prior experience working with DC Power Plants, Battery Distribution Units, AC power plant and rectifiers is required.
A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

Perform and support the installation and maintenance of telecom equipment.
Perform testing, troubleshooting, repair and decommissioning of both the central office and customer-premise telecommunications equipment and services.
Conduct equipment, service, and facility migrations and augmentations as needed.
Perform routine testing and maintenance utilizing various methods and equipment.
Provide basic analysis of testing result sot KFN team personnel and customer (when required).
Understand and interpret standard telecommunication wiring or fiber color codes, connector pin assignments, and central office installation methods.
Interpret written requests and coordinate work to be completed with customers.
Interface with all internal departments in a professional manner.
Maintain vehicle and work equipment per company policies.
Provide inventory control and site auditing as required.
