About The Position

You will be the Field Technician for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control team at the Huntsville, AL location. Our team is responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and troubleshooting services to our customers, including the Redstone Arsenal Precision Fires community. What You Will Be Doing As the Field Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting diesel engines, as well as providing support to our customers for launcher and missile systems. You will work on a variety of tasks, including maintaining and troubleshooting M270 and HIMARS vehicles, and troubleshooting, installing, and removing ATACMS and GMLRS rockets. Must be willing to travel approximately 10% MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

Requirements

Must be able to attain a secret level security clearance, and an interim clearance is required prior to start
Must have 8 years or more of professional experience
Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic test equipment
Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment failures, with ability to isolate faults
Familiarity with Automated Technical Manuals (ATMs) for removal, repair, and reassembly of critical components
Must be able to travel
Proficient in the use of PC applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in working with RSA government and contractor personnel
Experience working in an ordnance integration and test environment and around flight hardware, test and support systems
Experience handling explosives as part of weapon system development and testing
Experience at a major testing range such as Redstone Arsenal or White Sands Missile Range
Understand, observe and enforce compliance with all environmental control procedures for the handling and disposition of hazardous materials and hazardous waste
Demonstrates Full spectrum Leadership character, with effective written and oral communications shills, teaming skills, and ability to form productive relationships at all levels among colleagues, partner contractors and government personnel
