Description Bryant Consultants, an Aperture company, is looking for a Field Technician that is ready to further develop their career, or just starting it, for our Dallas, TX location.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • This position requires that you have the physical ability to perform all the following functions: Climb ladders, walk on roofs, enter and work in confined spaces, work outdoors in hot or cold weather, lift up to 50 pounds, use necessary safety equipment, perform duties that may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or squatting for prolonged periods of time
  • May be required to travel for business purposes.
  • The ability to sit at a desk up to 80% of the time
  • The ability to stand and walk up to 20% of the time
  • The ability to be confined in a small area, such as a cubicle
  • The ability to operate phones and computers

Nice To Haves

  • CDL License preferred.
  • ACI Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the field geophysical testing such as GMMIR, GPR, EM and Vibrations Monitoring Equipment, and Tilt Meter installation.
  • Assist with field geotechnical testing such as Manual Drilling, Portable Rig Drilling, and Hand Auger Sampling, Conventional Drill Rig Logging.
  • Assist with the performance of other routine testing such as test pits, plumbing claims soil sampling/ documentation, Piezometer readings.
  • Assist other Field Technicians, CMT Technicians, Lab Technicians, Project Managers and/or Engineers with specialized testing or routine assignments document findings in accordance, requirements, and specifications with established engineering practice.
  • Coordinate with Manager and Sr. Technician(s) on pertinent project information as well as performance duties and seek direction and guidance if necessary.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as mini excavator for poly verification process and properly document poly verification findings.
  • Operate mini-skid steer utility auger utilized for poly verification and poly drilling for GMMIR profiles.
