About The Position

The Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory at Colorado State University is seeking a motivated field technician to support field work associated with Mexican wolves and livestock in central Arizona and New Mexico. The work will entail downloading GPS data from radio collared wolves, determining the locations of GPS clusters, traveling to GPS cluster locations to investigate potential prey including livestock, and coordinating with ranchers and agency personnel. The position will be based in Alpine Arizona and housing will be provided at the Mexican wolf field station. The field technician will collect critical information that will help inform the development of a future research project. A critical component of this position is the ability to communicate and interact with ranchers in the Mexican wolf recovery area.
