About The Position

Ecolab, through its Nalco Water company, is seeking a Field Technician to join their team in Springfield, OH. This role involves monitoring and maintaining a variety of air and water quality systems, specifically paint booths at an automotive manufacturing site. The Field Technician will provide problem-solving support to customers, aiming for a high level of customer satisfaction. The position offers a dynamic, hands-on environment with autonomy and support, where the technician will help customers meet sustainability goals and protect critical assets. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working independently in an industrial setting
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
  • Previous experience in Industrial Wastewater Treatment or Maintenance
  • Mechanical problem-solving experience (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or mechanical experience)
  • Strong customer service skills; proven ability to interface positively and professionally with the customer
  • Analyze readings and put data in a spreadsheet in a logical manner
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience explaining results of data gatherings

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and trouble-shoot the facility and its processes in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform testing on lab samples, analyze and record results and data in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Perform daily process application quality analysis using small intricate parts
  • Provide routine and special application service support to customers
  • Execute required chemistry tests
  • Log and report data
  • Maintain product inventories
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Troubleshoot and maintain systems as needed
  • Use a fluke meter to check sensitivity
  • Operate a test stand verifying air and fluid leaks
