About The Position

The field technician's core responsibility is to provide on-site technical supervision of the installation or repair of equipment. Provide support for mechanical inspections, shop inspections, spare parts, and aftermarket. Traveling frequently. Some travel will be short notice. Some travel will be long term (longer than 1 month). Travel will average 60% time away from home. Providing a strong focus on safety and quality must be ensured and demonstrated to our customers.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience with associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, or 5 years of experience with a different technical degree.
• Experience and knowledge of heavy industrial mechanical systems such as mechanical drives, power transmission, bearings, etc.
• Experience with presence at industrial job sites where activities such as lifting (up to 50lbs), heavy machinery, safety, and planning were utilized.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and structural detail drawings.
• Familiar with the use of technical measuring equipment and an understanding of manufacturing tolerances.
