Requirements

  • Ability to pass DOT drug test.
  • Government contracts require U.S. Citizenship.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as interact with team members, clients and management staff.
  • Experience working in field in varying weather and site conditions
  • Ability/willingness to travel as required for the job.
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Basic computer skills in MS Office programs and field applications for surveying and data management.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.

Nice To Haves

  • AutoCAD and experience with gas utility installation a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic field work including collecting information and measurements of utility locations, collecting GPS data points, reviewing system maps and records, and producing field sketches for accurate as -built documentation. MasTec Professional Services will provide detailed training for standard survey and construction practices required for this role for utility design projects.
  • Work independently, make field decisions without direct supervision and be responsible for obtaining field data to determine condition of structures under evaluation.
  • Provide field support for design to adhere to company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
  • Compile and submit accurate paperwork and field data for senior staff review.
  • Adhere and promote company safety measures at all times
  • Collect field data points using a GPS unit
  • Work with mobile and desktop applications.
  • Work in and around active construction sites
  • Communicate with client and sub-contractor construction and install teams to coordinate work.
  • Capture detailed and confirmed field data.
