About The Position

As a Field Technician at Spectrum, you will be delivering essential and innovative technology that people use in everyday life while consistently exceeding the expectations of our growing customer base. You will be the face of Spectrum's products and services, working in a field-oriented role that requires you to work outdoors, using hand tools, and being in a variety of working conditions and locations. This entry-level position involves installing and repairing services for our customers and educating them on the proper use of their Spectrum services and equipment. You will perform basic installations, disconnects, downgrades, and upgrades for residential customers, all while providing world-class customer service. The role requires you to work independently with minimal supervision and will involve daily interactions with customers.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Problem solver with a technical aptitude.
• Ability to use computer and software applications.
• Ability to accurately measure distances using measuring tape.
• Experience working with hand tools.
• Strong communication and professionalism skills.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Critical thinking and reliability.
• Ability to interpret analytics from soft tools such as meters and handheld devices.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Read, write, and speak the English language.
• Valid Driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair services for customers.
• Educate customers on the proper use of Spectrum services and equipment.
• Perform installations, disconnects, downgrades, and upgrades for residential customers.
• Complete reconnects as trained.
• Work independently in a field-oriented role.
• Use hand tools and navigate various working conditions.
