Prepares gravesites for burial services, ensuring they are conducted with the utmost respect and in accordance with cemetery regulations. This role involves manual labor, the use of machinery, and coordination with funeral services to ensure gravesites are ready for interments. Role primarily is outdoors, delivering and installing concrete burial vaults. The primary focus is to ensure a respectful and flawless burial experience. Providing professional-safe conduct, appearance, and customer service are of utmost importance. Flexibility in working hours is required including weekends and holidays. No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided. Position Overview Position involves providing customer service and working outdoors to deliver and install concrete burial vaults. The primary focus is to ensure a respectful and flawless burial experience for families who have recently lost a loved one. Professional conduct, appearance, and customer service are of utmost importance. The job requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided.

Requirements

GED & High School Diploma
Valid CDL Class "A" license is required.
Must possess a clean driving record, hold DOT medical card and pass a DOT physical
Ability to successfully pass the new hire drug test and random drug screens.
Proficient in driving vehicles with manual transmission.
Capable of covering a large travel area as needed.
Proficiency in operating a backhoe.
Competence in reading maps and understanding directions.
Be self-motivated and self-monitored with little supervision needed
Maintain a clean and respectful personal appearance, wearing a clean uniform when required
Must be a team player

Excellent organizational and communication skills
Demonstrate leadership skills
Detail oriented
Full body movement, use of all senses, able to lift a minimum of 80 lbs.
Must be able to lift, stand, bend, stoop, twist, turn, kneel, and squat for short period of time.
The job will be working outdoors and being exposed to all types of weather conditions
Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.

Responsibilities

Preparing concrete burial vaults according to orders.
Loading, transporting, and unloading burial vaults using the company vehicle.
Installing vaults into graves.
Closing and lowering vaults after the service may involve assisting the gravedigger in shoveling dirt to close the grave in some cases.
Assembling and disassembling graveside tents.
Preparing graveside services by arranging folding chairs, chair covers, and artificial grass.
Setting monuments in cemeteries.
Use of Knuckle Boom or Stick Boom cranes on the company vehicle.
Maintaining daily reports, including pre-trip and post-trip logs.
Following a maintenance schedule for the vehicle and equipment.
Keeping the delivery truck, warehouse, and shop clean and organized.
Performing all work functions in a timely, correct, and safe manner.
Providing a safe, clean, respectful, and dignified burial presentation for the family and guests at the gravesite.
Communicating any service-related exceptions or issues to the plant manager immediately.
Assisting with manufacturing operations in the plant.
