Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
  • 1 year of experience in painting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or in teams.
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Basic Understanding of Construction Practices and Tool Usage – Possesses foundational knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods, materials, and site operations. Understands how to safely and effectively use common hand and power tools, including drills, saws, compactors, and measuring equipment. Applies this knowledge to assist skilled trades, support site preparation, and maintain productivity. Demonstrates a willingness to learn advanced techniques, follow instructions precisely, and build upon existing skills to grow within the trade.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and paint exterior surfaces of commercial and residential buildings, delivering high-quality finishes that meet project specifications and safety standards.
  • Perform surface prep including pressure washing, scraping, sanding, and caulking.
  • Repair minor imperfections such as cracks, holes, or damaged stucco.
  • Apply primers as needed to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Apply paint, stain, sealants, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Ensure clean lines, full coverage, and consistent finish across all surfaces.
  • Match paint colors and mix materials to achieve specified color and texture.
  • Set up ladders, scaffolding, and lifts safely and securely.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized throughout the project.
  • Conduct final touch-ups and quality inspections to ensure standards are met.
  • Properly dispose of paint, chemicals, and materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
