As a Field Technician, you are responsible for providing support in the construction, maintenance, project costing, permit identification, and project management of telecommunication wireline infrastructure (fiber, coax, copper). In addition, you will: Work with minimal supervision Read and understand a customer detail plan and jurisdictional requirements Have a labor-intensive attitude Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner Adhere to all company and industry standards/regulations (OSHA, etc.) Prepare drawings of field sketches using CAD or other platforms Read and interpret network drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to telecommunications, commercial, residential, and light industrial application. Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to, during and after fieldwork Review peer work product and be open to the same Other duties as assigned

Requirements

2 + years of general construction experience preferred; some cable and fiber industry experience highly preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results-oriented
Must be at least 21 years old??, have a valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle
High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred
Experience with Cable, Fiber, or wireless operators
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of safe site operations and willingness to correct deficiencies
Ability to lead crews when the foreman is gone – construction, RF, Optical experience
Update records, plans, and installation specifications to document accurate "as built" and billing documents
Ability to work on ladders, demonstrated manual dexterity
Must be adaptable to changing environments
Must be able to pick up 50 lbs. and be capable of working up to 12 hours
Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel
Must be able to work out of the market or away from home as work demands
