About The Position

As a Field Technician I - Runner, your role is essential in ensuring the image and representation of the Company at field sites aligns with our brand and mission, as well as the maintenance, inventory and delivery and pick up of site-specific items such as heaters, fans, and marketing materials (TV receivers, placards on signage, etc.). This position also ensures sites meet image standards for cleanliness and may perform basic laborer activities, such as sweeping, cleaning, painting, installation, etc. This position requires a hands-on approach, a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and a willingness to take on any task needed to ensure that construction sites meet the Company’s image standards.

Requirements

  • Consistently reliable with punctual attendance, with a proactive approach to communicating any potential delays or absences.
  • Proven capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify and correct job site cleanliness issues that do not align with the Company’s desired image and brand.
  • Solid foundational skills in communication and relationship building.
  • Comfortability with technology and software (Email, electronic time entry systems, other Microsoft systems), as well as inventory tracking systems (Greytrunk).
  • Ability to create own daily task list, as well as take direction from Project Managers, Field Tech Coordinators and other Managers.
  • Ability to safely drive a 12-foot box truck provided by the Company and in a manner that aligns with the Company’s image and brand.

  • Possess a valid WA State Driver’s License
  • Must meet and maintain Company insurance requirements for driving a company vehicle, which includes: A minimum of 23 years of age and not over 70 years of age; due to insurance requirements, the incumbent must be a minimum.
  • Have no more than one minor driver violation and no more than one at-fault accident, or no more than two minor violations within the past 36 months.
  • Have no “major violations” within the past 36 months. “Major violations” include, but are not limited to the following: Driving under the influence, driving while license is suspended or revoked, racing, reckless, careless or negligent driving (30+ MPH over the posted speed limit is careless/negligent violation), unlawful use of a vehicle such as an accident due to a felony, speeds greater than 20 MPH over the posted speed limit, hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident or using a vehicle to commit a felony, driving while texting or use of a mobile device, also referred to as Electronic Driving Under Influence (E-DUI), fatality accident within the previous one-year dependent upon police report review, speeding in a school zone, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Audits, maintains and repairs existing company signage on construction sites. May assemble and install signage as needed. Communicates with Marketing if/when new signage is needed due to being beyond repair for a particular existing site.
  • Maintains storage locker used for fans, heaters, and other construction equipment to ensure that inventory is accounted for, maintained and overall clean and organized.
  • Maintains inventory and maintenance of heaters and fans. Delivers, installs and picks up heaters and fans to construction sites.
  • Delivers and installs marketing materials, such as TV receivers, placards, on signage, etc., as requested.
  • Maintains assigned Company assigned vehicle to include ensuring that it is clean and always represents MN’s desired image, tracks and ensure that recommended vehicle maintenance and service is completed and if necessary, any defects or concerns are communicated timely to management to ensure the necessary service is provided.
  • Ensures all safety and cleanliness standards are upheld on job sites, proactively addressing or reporting any safety hazards or violations.
  • Operates a variety of power and hand tools to include but not limited to, drills, saws, hammer, ratchet, screwdrivers, broom, blower, shovel, posthole digger, etc.
  • Manages the movement, securing, installation, construction, loading, and unloading of materials or items across job sites to support project progress.
  • Takes on additional tasks or duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the overall success of the project.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements on the job site.
  • May assists with other jobsite tasks as assigned to include but not limited to, tree protection, digging, painting, installation, site cleanliness, etc.
