About The Position

Gateway Fiber is seeking an outstanding individual to fill our Field Engineer role. Gateway is creating a leading, national fiber-to-the-home platform. With the support of its financial sponsor CBRE Investment Management, Gateway plans to reach 500,000 homes and businesses with its service over the next several years. Gateway provides faster, more reliable internet with a simple pricing model and industry-leading customer service. Expected Outcomes and Requirements: Gateway is hiring a Field Technician (FWA) to assist in building and maintaining our network expansion efforts in support of Gateway’s growth trajectory of adding 100,000 residential & business passings per year. The Field Tech (FWA) is expected to contribute in the following significant ways:

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Must live in the area you will be servicing/assigned to
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.

Nice To Haves

  • Network skills are a plus, but not required, KwiKom will train the right candidate.
  • Cable or Satellite Installation: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch from your home daily and work in your geographical area.
  • Perform installation and service of wireless internet at customer locations.
  • Maintain inventory of necessary materials and tools for company vehicles.
  • Recognize, practice, and ensure safety rules and procedures.
  • Keep company vehicle clean and maintained.
  • Hand out marketing material, and willingly promote KwiKom
  • Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills
  • Possess basic computer skills and be willing to learn new technologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-change environment while managing multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day.
  • Must demonstrate accountability in order to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be professional in dress, speech, and manner.
