About The Position

SAIC is seeking an experienced Field Systems Engineer to join their COBRA team in Arlington, VA. In this role, the engineer will provide onsite maintenance and technical expertise supporting advanced counter-unmanned aircraft system (cUAS) technologies. This position requires a dedicated professional who can deliver reliable field engineering support in a dynamic operational environment. Requirements

  • A current Secret clearance is required.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to network hardware/software over classified and unclassified government networks.
  • Understanding of mission planning system functions and external interfaces, including setup and teardown procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operation reports of the system as required by the customer.
  • Provide FSE support as requested by the customer.
  • Install and Maintain c-UAS equipment.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Network hardware/software over classified and unclassified government networks.
  • Understand mission planning system functions and external interfaces, including setup and teardown procedures.
  • Manage GFE inventory pertaining the c-UAS system.
  • Update system and program documentation as required by the customer.
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, identifying and analyzing important factors and conditions to anticipate customer needs.
  • Decide on the appropriate course of action based on analyses of subjects and issues related to assignments.
  • Collaborate with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate system performance.
