About The Position

Collins Aerospace, Connected Aviation Solutions, Connectivity & Enablement Solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day priorities in solving clients VHF/UHF Radio, Telephone, Networking & PC related issues from the Richmond office. What You Will Do Coordinates, prioritizes and resolves issues encountered by customers. Analyze system failures, identify and restore equipment malfunctions and failures. Managed critical/complex issues that will impact the business. Performs a variety of duties, including but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and removing equipment. Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications. Manages technical products, services, logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers. Troubleshoots technical problems and recommends actions to company or customer representatives. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Acts as local on-site Collins Aerospace representative to the customer's organization. Manages statement of work to meet customer and contract requirements. Quality Issue Management. Contacts customer, collects feedback, and establishes and maintains good relationship with customers. Position will require communicating with customers in both French and English. Travel up to 30%. The candidate will participate in an on-call rotation and be required to provide remote support by securely connecting to company assets from a domestic internet connection. The candidate must adhere to corporate policies and respond in accordance with defined SLAs, which may be as short as 30 minutes. The candidate will act as an escalation point for support issues, supervise the work of junior staff, and provide mentoring and training as required.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
  • Must meet airport security access requirements for a RAIC.
  • Must have Radio VHF/UHF working and technical experience.
