This opportunity entails operating and maintaining survey equipment, instruments, and software to collect field data and perform routine surveys for various projects. Provides accurate measurement through reading survey instruments and accurately recording field data.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years of experience in survey or related field.
  • Drone license.
  • Willingness to travel. Willingness to work outside in all temperatures and a variety of terrain such as creeks, rivers, steep hills, and bridge embankments. Assist help to the Survey Crew Chief.

Responsibilities

  • May assist or serve as crew chief or project task lead, including mentoring and training earlier career staff.
  • Maintains survey equipment.
  • Checks Crew Chief's calculations.
  • Operates survey instruments and equipment for field surveys.
  • Accurately documents and records field data.
  • Loads and operates survey instruments to conduct survey activities.
  • Perform field maintenance of survey tools, equipment and vehicles.
  • Records accurate notes of survey data collection process.
  • Assists in field research in locating property and right-of-way lines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
