About The Position

One of TEKsystems' clients, an enterprise company headquartered in Birmingham, is looking to hire a Field Technician to join their Field Services organization. The candidate will be based out of Norfolk, VA and will have responsibility for a couple of dozen sites in and around Southeast VirginiaSee Add'l Info for travel details The Primary responsibility is for area installations, migrations and performance of IT Infrastructure technology in the business offices, plant and operational environments. This responsibility will include the project management of area installations, migrations and problem resolution for complex chronic technical issues. The technology involved in projects and problem solving may include Wireless, Network Wiring, LAN/WAN Networking, Surveillance Systems, Terminals, PC’s, Printers, Time Systems, Point of Sale interfaces (such as scale interfaces, pugmills, remote printing, card readers and kiosks), Power Supplies, cellular devices and other IT technology as needed to support the business. This position provides support for the placement, and maintenance of voice and data copper and fiber infrastructure requirements.
