Job Description The Field Support Technician serves as a main point of contact for Rockwell Automation's customers and serves as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. You will report to the Territory Services Manager. Regional travel is required, up to 50%.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Rockwell Automation will not offer sponsorship for this position

Nice To Haves

  • Experience Pulp and Paper Processes Manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of related experience in a customer facing engineering role.
  • Ability to travel throughout the region/assigned territory.
  • Experienced in PLC and HMI programming using RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, RSView32, or FTView ME/SE.
  • Experience with PowerFlex products and applications, Servo/Motion control, Low Voltage PowerFlex Drives or Medium Voltage Drives
  • Experience with Networking Technologies and Devices: RIO, DH+, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet Communication, Ethernet/IP, Stratix Switches

Responsibilities

  • Providing services to support the installation, startup, maintenance, and operation of automation control systems & advanced manufacturing software applications, drive systems, manufacturing systems, industrial networks and the individual products which comprise these systems.
  • Provide customer support through the performance of installation, and overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
  • Perform project management function for customer projects including needs identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
  • Provide leadership for project engineering teams, contract employees, and project support personnel.
