We are looking for a Technical Product Specialist to cover the Northern California with a focus in San Franscisco. Someone who is ASE A4, A5, and A6 certified with extensive product and technical knowledge, business expertise, and technical training capabilities. Our ideal candidate is an experienced automotive service professional with a passion for the industry and the desire to share knowledge while promoting a premier portfolio of brands. The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You’ll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. We pride ourselves on moving through processes quickly, and you can be sure of transparency and prompt communication throughout.

Requirements

  • 5+ years applied automotive service experience
  • Experience leading technical demonstrations, training sessions, and presentations
  • Must hold valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel
  • Computer proficiency - Microsoft Office
  • Personable, presentable, professional
  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • ASE Certification in A4 Steering and Suspension, A5 Brakes, and A6 Electrical with ASE Master Certification preferred

Nice To Haves

  • College or Technical Degree preferred
  • ASE Master Certification preferred
  • Experience communicating with others from diverse functional backgrounds
  • CRM (such as Salesforce, C4C) and collaborative software (e.g. WebEx,) experience preferred
  • Sales experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Schedule meetings, shop visits, and training sessions with automotive service providers
  • Demonstrate, instruct, guide, and answer questions to support customer use of DRiV product lines
  • Provide product demonstrations, training, and technical education on DRiV products
  • Deliver technical presentations to enhance customer’s knowledge of DRiV products and services
  • Represent DRiV at career fairs, expos, and other events to promote the profession of automotive technician
  • Communicate project status and sales KPIs to internal sales organization
  • Maintain records of all activities using CRM system
  • Build customer support for DRiV brands and product lines
  • Leverage various marketing channels to feature new and existing products
  • Conduct technical training in various automotive repair topics
