About The Position

As a Field Support Engineer II (FSE II) at ZEISS, you will work with an exceptional team that plays a crucial role in servicing ZEISS Surgical Microscopes. This position involves installing, repairing, upgrading, and performing preventative maintenance on specified Carl Zeiss Meditec instrumentation within a designated field service territory. You will represent Carl Zeiss Meditec at customer locations, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction while managing all company-issued property in accordance with company policies. The role requires maintaining professional communication with team members, customers, management, sales, and technical support.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics, or Medical Field Service.
• BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
• Ability to resolve difficult customer issues and achieve satisfactory results.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently with limited management oversight.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to pass required training to service fine mechanics and optics.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multiple project and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair all designated products within an assigned service territory, including preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades.
• Schedule, create, verify, and/or modify customer visits based on customer needs.
• Complete and submit daily field service reports according to written procedures.
• Submit weekly expense reports in compliance with company policies.
• Maintain spare parts inventory according to company guidelines.
• Support revenue growth through the promotion and retention of service agreements.
• Interface with customers in a professional and pleasant manner.
• Instruct customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
