The Field Supervisor at PNM Resources, Inc. is responsible for the overall success, direction, and supervision of personnel engaged in construction, maintenance, or warehouse activities. The supervisor must ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to and updated, particularly concerning loss control, safety, training, and standards. They will also be responsible for identifying training needs and providing necessary training to team members. In addition to overseeing field crews, the Field Supervisor will prepare performance appraisals, manage personnel matters, and interface with union stewards. They will coordinate field activities for gas or electric distribution projects, which may involve conducting field inspections, ensuring job site readiness, and obtaining necessary permits. The supervisor will also consult with outside contractors, customers, government officials, and landowners regarding project activities, ensuring effective communication of job progress among construction personnel and team members. The role requires the supervisor to inspect and monitor installations for compliance and completeness, set work assignments, and consult with the team on scheduling and prioritizing tasks. They will also review work packets for material and design accuracy and serve as a role model by promoting a positive attitude and team performance. Ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with safety guidelines and regulations is paramount. The Field Supervisor will also provide technical assistance for the design and construction of gas and electric distribution facilities, contributing to the development of new construction techniques and standards for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
