About The Position

Chevron Shale & Tight Business Unit is accepting online applications for the position of Field Specialist located at our Tioga, ND, and Kenne, ND plants, through February 9th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (CST). The Oil Gathering Field Specialist is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining midstream equipment while ensuring safety, compliance with policies, and environmental standards. The role involves both hands-on fieldwork and collaboration with team leaders and requires accurate incident reporting, routine maintenance, and support in emergencies. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Engage in safe work practices, start work checks,s including reviewing permits and walkthroughs. Immediate reporting and documentation of incidents and spills according to company policies. Maintain and properly use PPE. Collaborate with team leaders atthe start of the shift and before leaving the field. Complete effective handoff communications between shifts with oncoming crews and supervisors. Perform equipment surveillance and provide first-level response. Operate equipment and manage process controls and flow (start-up, shut down). Safely complete and accurately capture work activities using digital tools and software (autonomous maintenance, SAP (corrective/preventive/predictive maintenance)). Maintain regulatory requirements, Operator Qualifications, and DOT Covered Tasks (Valve Operations & Inspections, Site Security Checks, Pipeline Maintenance, Start Up and Shut Down Procedures, Emergency Response) Participate in risk assessments as needed (PHA, MOC reviews, and spill documentation) Partner with the Field Coordinator, Senior and company contractors to execute priority work list. Support Booster Pump and Midstream Facility optimization: maximize throughput, minimize shutdowns and provide necessary feedback. Support verification and execution of equipment maintenance and repairs (SPCC, LDAR, routine and frontline maintenance). Actively participate in response meetings and support cross-area resource allocation during events. Identify OPEX saving opportunities. Complete other duties assigned by the Operations Supervisor. Field Time (“go see”, meetings/collaboration) – 90% Desk Time (admin, invoices, data analysis, emails) – 10% Desk Time (admin, invoices, data analysis, emails) – 10%

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays of the assigned work schedule, along with being able to respond to after-hours call-outs
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
