Our innovative Upstream Chemicals Technology team ensures that our customers have the right products to operate effectively and safely. We provide the science and research behind the next generation of efficient and clean chemicals for the energy industry. Partner with the best As a Field Specialist, you will play a vital role onsite with our customers. You will carry out routine services related to water and process chemical treatment programs. You will continually develop your knowledge and skills to deliver innovative solutions for our customers.

Requirements

  • An accredited qualification or equivalent in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or similar science would be beneficial
  • Have experience with and understanding of OIC Upstream business
  • Have 2-3 years expertise in similar field operations role
  • Show understanding of chemistry, materials, process flows, and petroleum engineering concepts
  • Ability to work both alone and as part of a diverse cultural team

Responsibilities

  • Providing support to measure product performance of existing programs; conducts and reports product field test results; monitors product tests and operating parameters, and records and/or communicates results to the supervisor
  • Ensuring completions of required training through participation in the LEAD–Field Specialist Development Program, which includes in-depth training activities focused on HS&E, compliance, the oilfield industry, and basic product line products and services
  • Assisting in knowledge transfer into the organization based on customer feedback, field work and experience
  • Learning to run the product line’s tool(s) and/or services under supervision of more experienced field engineers/specialists and progresses to doing so
  • Carrying out field analytical work to collect, generate and interpret data through managing chemical inventories
  • Completing product inventory management practices, which may include inventory reporting, ordering, and delivery
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values
