About The Position

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work. NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military. As a Field Site Manager, you will be using your skills and expertise to oversee the maintenance servicing, repairing, inspecting, and overhauling of our aircraft and/or aircraft systems and subsystems to ensure that our aircraft and/or systems are in an airworthy condition and are safe for flight. You'll also ensure that all of our customer issues are satisfactorily resolved in a timely and efficient manner. The Field Site Manager will also provide input to program management for budgetary requirements. Manning projections will also be provided by you, at a minimum annually, to ensure proper staffing levels as well as vetting OCONUS operations to ensure all safety, security, billeting, and care and feeding requirements are met. This new position for the DVEPS CLS team has been requested by our USG customer to assist with managing day-to-day operations at the DVEPS Forward Repair Facility at Fort Campbell as well as serve as an extra set of eyes to provide quality assurance checks and assistance with troubleshooting DVEPS failures in the field. Additionally, this candidate would serve as a backup Field Service Representative for the SOA-fielded DVEPS when the primary FSR is unavailable or needs additional support. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

• Currently serving as ACTIVE DUTY Military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program
• B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience
• Typically, 10+ years of progressive aviation experience, which includes 6+ years of management experience.
• Current/Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required
• Comprehensive understanding and experience with the practical application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
• Expert knowledge and experience with Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service
• Ability to understand and execute contract documents such as Performance Work Statement (PWS)
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Software engineering experience
• Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
• Familiarity with network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors
• Working knowledge of computers, networking and data storage (IP networking, network attached storage etc.)
• Experience performing Maintenance, Repair, or Overhaul of Avionics Systems (Radar knowledge preferred)
• Ability to interface with Engineering and Operations in the repair and upgrade of Enhanced Vision Systems
• Ability to operate automatic test equipment to locate, diagnose, and repair defective parts and perform routine inspections on systems and equipment
• Ability to understand US Army Aviation Maintenance Management Processes and Data Systems
• Familiarization with equipment carry-on procedures, equipment chain of custody
• Familiarization with DTED terrain data
• Cognizant knowledge of airworthiness directives, procedures, and processes
• Knowledge/familiarity with working for a military customer/in a military CONUS garrison environment

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics
• Experience working with terrain data management in a mission planning and analysis environment
• Hands-on experience with a wide variety of network related tools, concepts, technologies, best practices and security procedures, including Network File Systems (NFS, GPFS, Lustre, Samba, CIFS, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols, server-client relationship, and Internet technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SOAP, XML, SNMP, CORBA, LDAP).
• Experience supporting quality assurance/quality control requirements
• Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors
• Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
• Experience with RF, vehicle installation and maintenance procedures
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military
• Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization

Responsibilities

• Use skills and real-time expertise to provide technical support and troubleshooting for our products and services at critical or highly sensitive base or remote locations.
• Use management and organizational skills to manage a team of field service representatives and oversee day-to-day depot facility operations
• Directly interface with the USG end user and customer, assessing customer needs and determining the most appropriate technical solution.
• Technical responsibilities include support of the deployment of system upgrades to such as technical refresh of systems, technical installation of major hardware/software upgrades, system error detection and correction, and configuration management.
• Providing technical expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading Enhanced Vision Systems.
• Terrain data management directly supporting mission planning and analysis hardware and software
