About The Position

The primary role of the Field Services Technician is to access and patrol sections of pipelines to detect evidence of leaks, odors, and dead vegetation and report any problems found. This position will also assist with installations and field troubleshooting/manufacturing in a lab environment. The Field Services Technician reports to the Product Manager and works primarily out of the Morgantown location.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License is required
  • Basic computer knowledge; Proficient with MS Office productivity software
  • Able to work independently and in team environments
  • Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environment
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and coordinate with other departments
  • Provide physical labor including
  • Hiking on rough terrain up to 2 miles
  • Carrying equipment and materials to installation site
  • Hand driving installation fixtures into the ground
  • Planning safety into all aspects of the job
  • Must be dependable, trustworthy, and possess a positive and productive attitude
  • Must be customer-focused
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be in good physical condition
  • Willing to participate in the company’s required background and drug screening process
  • Willingness to undergo safety training to obtain OQ training

Responsibilities

  • Patrol pipelines to locate and report pipeline leaks, breaks, washouts, oil stains, odors, dead vegetation, etc.
  • Visual inspection and monitoring of pipelines and surrounding area
  • Identifying changes to the pipeline, excavation, and surrounding right of way
  • Detailed documentation of changes via mobile application
  • Provide physical labor and hiking on rough terrain up to 2 miles
  • Assisting with installation/uninstallation of monitoring systems
  • Carrying equipment and materials to installation site
  • Hand driving strut into ground
  • Assembly/cleaning of field equipment
  • Detail focused and capability of meeting strict deadlines
  • Planning safety into all aspects of the job
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
