About The Position

The Field Services Supervisor at Builders FirstSource is responsible for overseeing field services personnel to address product issues at customer sites. The role focuses on ensuring customer complaints regarding product quality and reliability are resolved efficiently and cost-effectively. This position involves providing direction, training, and support to Field Service Representatives while also investigating product conditions and recommending necessary actions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Five years of installation or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of Truss Technician Training Levels I and II certification is required.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Knowledge of company products, production processes, and quality standards is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to supervise others effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Knowledge of business mathematics is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and provides work direction to Field Service Representatives.
  • Investigates product conditions at customer sites and reports findings to management.
  • Recommends replacement or repair of defective components and assists with complex issues.
  • Negotiates and approves third-party repairs and inspects completed work for quality adherence.
  • Provides on-the-job training to field services team members.
  • Plans and oversees the work of the Field Service team to meet productivity goals.
  • May perform duties as a Field Service Representative when needed.
  • Observes and recommends improvements to safety procedures.
