The Field Service Superintendent (FSS) will have experience in the schedule creation, direction and monitoring of multiple site crafts including rigging, mechanical millwright, pipe fitters, structural fitter / welder, electrical and automation, for the safe, timely and cost-effective implementation and startup of manufactured chiller units. The FSS will have a daily interface with the client and or client representatives in addition to other contractors employed by the client and /or client representative.

  • Monitor, update, and report on overall site implementation project plan through daily Activities Schedules.
  • Manage receiving, equipment installation, startup and commissioning, and turnover to client.
  • Oversee hours for tasks, site performance, acceptance testing, and sub-contractor management.
  • Ensure a safe work environment based on Stellar Energy Safety Manual.
  • Coordinate multiple projects at customer location in coordination with Project Managers.
  • Confirm all quality checks, site acceptance testing, and milestone dates with project manager and client.
  • Utilize lean principles to identify improved and safer methods of site implementation.
  • Monitor materials purchases, tool issuance, and consumable usage.
  • Confirm finalization and timely submissions of all field quality, testing and project required documents.
  • Create, maintain, and update individual Project Schedules based on major equipment delivery schedules.
  • Implement and monitor overall site safety and maintain daily Job Hazard Analysis.
  • Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
  • Associate degree in technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 Years’ experience in Heavy Industrial Environment as Superintendent or Lead Foreman.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, ACC, BIMS 360, Fieldwire, cloud project management platforms.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 30 Hour Certification and site relevant safety training.
  • 3-5 years Field operations experience in construction/commissioning activities.
  • Knowledge of quality system, process control, and control tools.
  • Knowledge of selection and technical requirement of general mechanical equipment including pumps, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers.
  • Extensive experience in field oversight of construction contractors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/information systems/business administration/and or other technical fields.
  • Experience in civil, mechanical, electrical, and controls project implementation.
  • NEBB certified building commissioning professional certs.
  • BICSI certifications.
