The company is seeking a Field Services Safety Engineer to provide safety oversight and support to field employees, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role involves supervising day-to-day safety requirements at job sites and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

  • Maintain a visible presence and conduct site visits to perform safety audits and safety process audits, ensuring compliance at least 80% of the week.
  • Enforce all Federal, State, local, owner, and Tremco regulations throughout all Roofing regional projects.
  • Assist site leadership in developing site-specific safety programs aligned with Tremco Field Services Safety policies.
  • Instruct supervisors on safety procedures, planning, and equipment.
  • Assist Regional Field Safety Managers with new safety initiatives and brief employees on policy changes.
  • Educate workforce and regional leadership on Tremco's safety cultural advancements.
  • Coach, mentor, and implement Tremco Health and Safety programs in the field.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talk Meetings with Regional team employees.
  • Review applicable legislation and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Represent Tremco safety culture with subcontractors and ensure their compliance with regulations.
  • Motivate and encourage teamwork within the workforce to adhere to safety practices.
  • Communicate safety audit results and field safety concerns with the Assistant Safety Director.
  • Audit Site-Specific Safety and Health Plans for compliance and update as necessary.
  • Ensure all incidents are reported immediately per the Tremco Incident Notification Policy.
  • Assist field leadership in investigating incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and follow up on modified workers in the field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety preferred or 5+ years of construction experience with a high school diploma.
  • Minimum of two years of construction safety field experience required.
  • OSHA 10- and 30-hour certification required.
  • Knowledge of the 1926 OSHA Regulations.
  • Working knowledge on how to develop, implement, and audit a Daily Task Analysis for Employees and Subcontractors.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel/work remotely 80% or greater.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make decisions effectively.
  • Organized approach to work with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with good prioritization skills.
