About The Position

As a Field Services Data Analytics Intern with us, you will build a solid foundation for your career by gaining hands-on experience from working on multiple projects with a wide variety of applications, including GIS, addressing, records and data review. Location: This position can work remotely in any of the 40+ states in which TDS Telecom operates. Work Schedule: This is a year-round internship starting in January 2026, and we require at least 15 hours per week during core business hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Pay: The base pay rate offered for this position is expected to be $19/hour. Intern Resources: As an intern at TDS, you'll have the opportunity to partner with seasoned professionals on high-priority company projects and day-to-day operations. During your internship, TDS offers you: Access to our Intern Associate Resource Group (ARG): This group provides extra resources for your development, opportunities for internal advancement, and forums to connect with other interns across the company. Our ARG meets monthly, where you can hear about other interns’ projects and engage with leaders from various teams. The group also hosts networking events to help you build valuable connections, with the goal of helping you secure full-time employment upon graduation. Prioritization of Your Professional Development: TDS offers in-depth training to ensure you are continuously growing and developing your skills. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Must be able to complete working hours between M-F 8-5pm
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Must be 18+ years of age

Responsibilities

  • Excited to learn how to help research plant records and technology platforms to serve our customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Work with a variety of addressing and records systems to identify service opportunities
  • Ability to evaluate network delivery technologies and understand network engineering leading-edge technologies as well as build/analyze/administer our networks
  • Comfortable addressing issues and finding creative solutions
  • Excited to learn how to help migrate from legacy to Cloud-based solutions
  • Ready to manage a variety of hardware devices through support and upgrades
  • Ability to evaluate network equipment and leading-edge technologies as well as build/analyze/administer our networks

  • Associates scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits such as vacation (15 days accrued per year for full-time; pro-rated for part-time associates working between 20-39 hours), sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates), seven paid national holidays and one floating holiday, paid parental leave (2 weeks after 12 months of employment), among others.
