Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or field service experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain CDL; willingness to travel across the U.S. (and abroad if needed).
  • Ability to access power plants, substations, and industrial sites; able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong teamwork, time management, detail orientation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, technical documentation, and communicating results clearly to customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on‑site transformer inspections, component preparation, and core/coil jacking when required.
  • Execute installations, including cable terminations, crimping, brazing, bus‑work fabrication, and hand‑taping.
  • Carry out vacuum processing, hot‑oil procedures, pressure testing, oil sampling, and shipment preparation.
  • Conduct electrical testing (Doble, SFRA, bushing tests, TTR, Megger, winding resistance, CT tests, alarm checks).
  • Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, document results, and communicate findings to customers and engineers.
  • Ensure all work aligns with manufacturing standards while maintaining clean, organized, and safe equipment and work areas.
