About The Position
Mazak Corporation is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful installation, training, and maintenance of our CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. The Field Service Technician will operate from their residence and will be responsible for regional assignments, primarily focusing on customer facilities in the Little Rock area. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional service, including executing warranty repairs and offering after-warranty support to our valued customers. The Field Service Technician will proactively work to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Key responsibilities include installing machines and accessories at customer sites, which involves assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating, and wiring. The technician will also diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues on machines, ensuring they operate efficiently after installation or repair. Training customers on the functions of the machines is a vital part of this role, as is staying updated on new machine features and accessories as they become available. Documentation is essential in this position; the technician will complete reports detailing installations, assessments of reported problems, repairs completed, and parts installed. The role requires overnight travel, with assignments that may necessitate multiple nights away from home. The technician will utilize various test equipment for troubleshooting, including indicators, test bars, clamp force gauges, and more. This position reports directly to the southwest Technology Center in Houston, TX, and is integral to our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
