About The Position

The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site support to local PC customers by delivering specific services offered by AIMM Services. This role focuses on enhancing customer operations through assessments, modernization, and risk mitigation while ensuring the highest level of customer service. The technician will work closely with business development leads and other teams to meet or exceed customer expectations, adhering to Rockwell/AIMM Services procedures and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with industrial experience or an Associate of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology, or equivalent training.
  • Understanding of safe work practices in an industrial environment, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing demands.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exposure to Industrial Control Systems including PLC, HMI/SCADA, and motor control technology.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to Lockout Tagout and Arc Flash standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Execute documented service offering procedures on-site at customer facilities.
  • Perform Installed Base Evaluations, Arc Flash Assessments, Simple Drive Startups, Infrared Surveys, and other services based on skill level.
  • Work with each customer to follow or exceed their onsite safety and work requirements.
  • Implement the portfolio of services to be performed and delivered.
  • Demonstrate core competency around Rockwell Automation products and associated manufacturing technology.
  • Manage risk by staying within the project scope and following all safety procedures.
  • Act as a representative of the services group and local Profit Center while performing services on mission-critical customer equipment.
  • Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Articulate the value of services offerings to customers during the lifecycle of the engagement.
  • Identify customer problems, needs, and goals to uncover opportunities for additional products and services.
  • Document and cost work activities in a professional report format.
  • Assist in clarifying and resolving customer issues.
  • Contribute to the development of new customer-facing services through customer feedback.
