About The Position

The Field Service Technician position exists to oversee and maintain power generation equipment on rent with customers in a designated region. This person will be responsible for maximizing equipment run time by performing maintenance as needed and ensuring that all equipment is always in proper working condition.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
  • Ability to comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Experienced background or trade school.
  • Electrical/generator troubleshooting & repair experience.
  • Engine overhaul experience.
  • Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have own hand tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on industrial natural gas generators on customer locations.
  • Conduct monthly oil changes, spark plug changes, and oil and air filter replacements.
  • Perform overhead valve adjustments and check batteries.
  • Wash radiators and conduct load bank testing.
  • Perform basic repair and maintenance of engine and electrical system components.
  • Diagnose 480V electrical output and check diodes.
  • Replace/tune automatic voltage regulators.
  • Maintain fit-for-duty status for each shift.
  • Drive a company vehicle to visit customer sites.
  • Maintain a Safety-first culture ensuring protection and safety of employees and customers.
  • Conduct work in accordance with safety standards to maintain an accident-free workplace.
  • Mobilize and demobilize generators to and from well sites.
  • Respond to call outs/alarms on a 24/7 basis.
  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with customers.
  • Maintain sufficient parts inventory for planned and unplanned needs.
  • Assist other operating regions with repairs as needed.
