A Field Service Technician provides industry-best technical support on computer-based medical instrumentation. This role is responsible for establishing strong relationships with customers, as well as managers and the national service team. This position will be based remotely and responsible for multi-state service coverage.

Requirements

  • A graduate of an accredited Electronics Technician/Technologist program
  • Minimum (5) five years as a bench electronic technician
  • Minimum (3) three years’ experience on the road environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows and related core programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of analog & digital electronics
  • Strong troubleshooting and exceptional analytical skills
  • Possess proven team player skills with the ability to work independently frequently & with confidence
  • Strong attention to detail and quality while demonstrating continued pride in their work
  • Excellent organizational, record keeping and time management skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license at all times
  • Possess a small car which he/she will use on the road
  • Extensive Travel Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in spoken English and French is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers.
  • Visit customer locations to perform installation, calibration, and equipment repair on company offerings.
  • Complete calibration forms onsite and email to customers within 24 hours. Ensure that knowledge of products serviced is held to a high standard and up to date.
  • Work closely with sales and service teams and customers to understand their service needs.
  • Work closely with the service scheduling team for territory management and streamline monthly schedule whenever possible.
  • Maintain customer focus and with sense of urgency related to performance and problem solving, with emphasis on innovation and utilization of technology.
  • Effective customer interaction through good interpersonal relationships, asks questions, listens carefully and provides appropriate information. Recognizes issues, problems or opportunities and determines the appropriate action required.
  • Order/maintain adequate amount of truck stock to replace defective parts in the field when needed.
  • Manage appropriate tools and equipment to ensure that they are in proper functioning order and meets Company’s quality standards.
  • Multi-tasks to complete responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Book travel arrangements including flights and lodging according to planned customer visits.
  • Attend trade shows, presentations and meetings as required. Submit expense reports in a timely manner.
