Field Service Technician
About The Position
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain PFT equipment, tubing rotators, and chokes in the field and shop. Perform preventative maintenance services and complete service jobs independently as needed. Deliver, collect, and transport equipment; load/unload and properly secure materials in compliance with DOT regulations. Operate forklifts and lifting devices safely. Maintain accurate service documentation, including service tickets, bills of lading, expense reports, and inventory cycle counts. Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and internal teams regarding job status and issues. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean and working order. Follow all NOV Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies and promote a strong safety culture. Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of field service or related industry experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Experience installing, inspecting, and maintaining oilfield or similar mechanical equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and safely transport materials in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance, inventory control, and service documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
