About The Position

The Equipment Service Technician role is responsible for providing repair services on pumps, blowers, portable/stationary compressors, generators, and ancillary equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders
  • Ability to communicate ideas and suggestions both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to complete basic math skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to sit up to 33% (Working at a desk)
  • Ability to stand up to 33%
  • Ability to walk up to 33%
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with good body mechanics (lifting devices are used for heavier loads)
  • Frequent use of both hands
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures during the winter and summer months
  • Ability to be exposed to moderate, steady, and loud noise, below 85db
  • Ability to be exposed to slippery work surfaces (up to 3 hrs./day)

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, service, and repair on air compressors, pumps, and portable diesel utility equipment
  • Oversee and/or install related equipment and systems at customer locations
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and or system failures
  • Educate customers on proper start-up procedures and maintenance intervals, along with potential spare parts requirements
  • Maintain continuity between the customer and the company during and after installations to ensure proper application and operation of systems and equipment
  • Follow proper safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Provide the required tools and diagnostic equipment necessary to perform job assignments
  • Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and safety of all company vehicles and equipment
  • Attend relevant training sessions and maintain the required levels of certifications
  • Administrative responsibilities include documenting labor hours, parts usage, and equipment data on a daily basis.
  • Any other relevant duties that may be assigned
