About The Position

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for repairing, diagnosing, inspecting, and maintaining various types of aerial and earth moving equipment, primarily servicing rentals and customer owned equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining construction equipment
Minimum of 3 years of relevant driving experience
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Knowledge of heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, and compactors
Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching (with arms and hands), handling, talking, hearing, depth perception, lifting, vision (close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus), and lifting/moving up to 35+ pounds
Considerable local and non-local travel may be required
Work with a group and/or team
Frequent conflict situations may be present
Work after normal business hours
Potential hazardous work
Frequent exposure to extreme outside weather conditions and high levels of noise

Nice To Haves

Industrial, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus
Mechanical maintenance and/or equipment servicing certifications a plus

Responsibilities

Perform repairs, diagnostics, inspections, and overall maintenance of the company’s equipment inventory.
Ensure safety, quality control, and environmental protection programs are followed throughout all services.
Demonstrate ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Proficiently utilize and leverage tools and solutions to accomplish tasks independently without direct supervision.
Proficiently complete thorough and accurate annual inspections.
Demonstrate knowledge of troubleshooting various equipment product lines.
Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate high level communication skills; Foster and ensure cooperative and collaborative partner relationships; Maintain a positive attitude.
