The Field Service Technician Co-Op will support the Mid Atlantic Field Service Operations Team located in Beltsville, MD. This role provides a direct, hands on opportunity to work with skilled, trained technical leaders in the organization. The FST Co-Op will deliver a unique combination of both multi-site RF communications systems and computer/networking skills to the Public Safety customers in the Mid Atlantic region. Motorola Solutions is looking to identify a strong self-starter, able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situations. The FST Co-Op will work closely with Motorola Solutions Public Safety Customers and Subcontractor (MSS) community, as well as, Motorola Solutions Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Service teams. Job Description Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of mission critical field activities and optimizing efficiency by utilizing academic principles gained in educational courses in a dynamic professional setting. Demonstrate an aptitude for Networking and/or Radio Frequency Provide technical support on specialized telecommunications systems and public safety product applications. Maintain and document complex communications systems. Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments. Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues. Continuous training in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
