About The Position

OWL Services is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing electro-mechanical equipment in the field. Technicians serve as the face of the company, ensuring client systems such as POS equipment, security devices, and related hardware operate efficiently and reliably. Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required
  • Ability to work independently and be a strong problem-solver
  • Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols
  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation with other technicians in your area
  • Ability to travel up to 30–40% overnight
  • Good driving record required
  • Ability to use a computer and smartphone proficiently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with various POS systems (Verifone/NCR)
  • Experience with alarm systems
  • Experience troubleshooting, inspecting, replacing, and repairing electro-mechanical devices such as cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and POS equipment
  • Experience completing service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to review work orders, manuals, and drawings to properly perform maintenance and service
  • Experience utilizing testing devices and multiple hand and power tools related to the job
  • Willingness to be temporarily assigned to other geographical areas to support new installations and upgrades

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace electro-mechanical devices including cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and POS systems
  • Diagnose technical issues and provide effective, timely solutions
  • Complete service requests and maintenance tasks professionally and efficiently
  • Review work orders, manuals, and technical drawings to ensure accurate repairs
  • Utilize testing devices, hand tools, and power tools as required
  • Adhere strictly to all company and customer safety protocols
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation with other local technicians
  • Travel 30–40% overnight, including temporary assignments in other regions for installations or upgrades
  • Maintain accurate documentation using company systems and mobile technology
