Field Service Technician – Material Handling Equipment New Bedford, MA and surrounding area $23–$36 per hour We like problems. It keeps the wrenches from getting rusty! Requirements

Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance.
Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals
Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers, required
Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and build positive customer relationships by consistently delivering excellent customer service
Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly

Nice To Haves

Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus)

Responsibilities

Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks along with working on warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment
Work directly with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges
Apply and grow your mechanical and technical skills through continuous training
Submit electronic work orders efficiently using a company-provided tablet
Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service
