The Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing warewashing machines used in commercial and industrial settings. The primary focus will be on ensuring a smooth operation, minimizing downtime of warewashing equipment and providing excellent customer service. The Service Technician will report to The Chemical Department Manager.

Requirements

  • Valid California Driver’s License is required.
  • Clean DMV record is required and must be able to submit a current 5-year DMV Driver's Record.
  • High level of customer service.
  • Must have good listening skills, verbal communication skills and follow Manager instructions.
  • Must be able to work as a team, independently and manage time effectively.
  • Mechanically inclined with great problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be visually able to inspect machines.
  • Must be able to work in tight spaces.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, squat, turn/twist body, push and/or pull, stand, kneel and walk.
  • Must be able to safely drive in adverse weather conditions.
  • Will work in close proximity to others.
  • Often exposed to hot and cold temperatures, such as when working near ovens or freezers.
  • Often work in a noisy and distracting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and Setup: Install and set up dish and/or glass washing machines according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance & Emergency Calls: Perform routine inspections, including calibration and preventive maintenance on warewashing machines to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with warewashing machines, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. Repair or replace faulty components, such as pumps, motors, valves, sensors, and control panels.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Respond promptly to service requests and address customer concerns.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and customer interactions. Prepare service reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on warewashing equipment, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others. Comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing the installation and maintenance of warewashing equipment.
  • On-Call Service: Provide on-call service to address urgent maintenance and repair needs outside regular working hours. Respond promptly to emergency service calls and troubleshoot issues remotely or on-site.
  • Drive a van owned by the Company.
