We provide on-the-job training. Resound Networks is a rapidly growing internet service provider (ISP) serving cities and rural communities across multiple states. We are a team-oriented organization focused on delivering outstanding service for our customers, and we are looking for an organized and driven professional to join our team as a Field Service Technician. This person will be an integral part of our field operations and will report directly to the Area Manager. The qualified individual must have sound knowledge of cabling and basic computer/networking skills and will be responsible for multiple customer visits each day. This hybrid role includes both fiber installations and fixed wireless installs, including site surveys, troubleshooting, equipment setup, and customer education.

  • Confidence working indoors/outdoors and on ladders
  • Results-driven mindset and willingness to learn both fiber and fixed wireless technologies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in any of the following is a plus: fiber installation, splicing, cabling, wireless equipment, electrical, maintenance/repair, military, customer service, or general labor

Responsibilities

  • Install new customers using fiber and fixed wireless technologies; complete all required documentation
  • Perform service calls at customer locations for both fiber and wireless customers
  • Conduct site surveys to determine proper equipment placement, fiber routing, and wireless signal quality
  • Ensure high-quality internet performance through testing, validation, and equipment optimization
  • Educate customers on Wi-Fi, in-home networking, and solutions tailored for each home
  • Maintain company and customer equipment by following operational procedures, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventative maintenance
  • Uphold safety standards and deliver a professional customer experience on every visit
