As a Field Service Specialist, you represent Natus Neurodiagnostic technology in hospitals, clinics, and research centers. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, training, troubleshooting, and supporting our full range of Neurology devices and software, ensuring clinicians have reliable systems. This is a hands-on, independent role for individuals who excel in technical environments, enjoy solving real-world problems, and are comfortable with extensive travel.

Requirements

  • College Diploma or University Degree—or equivalent experience—in IT, medicine/biology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of field service experience in installation, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), MCSE, or A+ certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, Active Directory, Group Policies).
  • Experience with network infrastructure planning and IT asset management tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise antivirus and imaging tools.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving.
  • Professional, dependable, flexible, and self-directed.
  • Confident leader with excellent project coordination abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong documentation practices.
  • Patient, methodical, and detail-oriented work style.
  • Results-driven team player who can also operate independently.
  • Valid driver’s license, zero felony convictions, and fewer than three moving violations in the past three years.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical device experience (preferred).
  • SQL Server and database administration experience.
  • Familiarity with Citrix Server.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of our neurodiagnostic systems in the field.
  • Follow all Quality System procedures that affect product quality and customer outcomes.
  • Plan, manage, and execute neurology system installations—from small setups to large, multi-site projects—while meeting company standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and field service on installed equipment, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing PC, network, and proprietary hardware and software.
  • Take full ownership of service issues from first report to resolution, escalating when response time objectives cannot be met.
  • Analyze product failures, report findings, and recommend improvements by working closely with Engineering, Operations, and cross-functional teams.
  • If assigned to a customer site, keep management and sales informed of progress and ensure customers remain confident and satisfied throughout the engagement.
  • Deliver hands-on customer training during installations, at customer sites, or at company offices.
  • Stay current through technical and professional development training, demonstrating ongoing commitment to learning and skill advancement.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, expense reports, and system entries within established timelines.
  • Build strong customer relationships, represent the company professionally, and promote our solutions through every interaction.
