About The Position

Performs technical and maintenance services at customer locations. Repairs or coordinates repair of worn or defective machinery and equipment. Provides ongoing technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of equipment.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • Must have minimum of two (2) years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel to and from assigned customers (85%) with limited overnight travel (15%).
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
  • Moderate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic drawing reading skills.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Install, adjust, maintain, and repair components as assigned in a safe manner following all safety rules initiated by Swanson Industries, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and the Customer.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnoses technical and system failures using established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. Documents all inspection, maintenance and repair work as required.
  • Maintain accurate time distribution and records for service calls.
  • Maintain communications with appropriate mine management and personnel.
  • Perform basic tasks as assigned with minimal assistance.
  • Maintain and be responsible for any assigned parts inventory.
  • Maintain MSHA yearly Part 48 training for both underground and surface work.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, meetings, workshops, etc.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
