USP Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in the Southeast Region. The candidate can expect to primarily support a customer base within Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana; however, travel to support customers in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina will be required sporadically throughout the year (i.e., 8 weeks out of the year). Note: Candidates must pass DISA drug and background screening prior to onboarding, as required by our customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in field equipment service and chemical pump maintenance.
  • Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical circuits (120/208 VAC, single and three-phase), instrumentation (flowmeters, level sensors, VFDs, RTDs, thermocouples), and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and BOMs.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills; capable of managing own schedule and adapting to changes in project scope.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record and willingness to travel, including overnight stays and air travel when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with online collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer or plant sites to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on chemical pumps, plumbing systems, and field instrumentation.
  • Inspect, test, and repair electrical circuits, instrumentation, and chemical metering systems, including reading schematics, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve technical issues and ensure adherence to USP standard practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service performed, schedules, and any changes in project scope, using Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
  • Operate machinery such as forklifts when necessary and ensure compliance with all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
