About The Position

Join our New England Coffee team! We are seeking a Field Service Technician for our Boston area. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and installing coffee, tea and beverage equipment and all preventative maintenance for our food service and retail customers. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • A minimum of two years of technician experience working on/repairing coffee, tea and beverage equipment required
  • Electrical and plumbing experience helpful
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Positive, customer service attitude and a team player
  • Reliable with the ability to work weekends/holidays as needed
  • Attention to detail with good organizational skills
  • Technology proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Performs onsite coffee, tea and beverage equipment installations and exchanges
  • Troubleshoots and repairs customer equipment on site
  • Responsively assists customers over the phone with repairs, calibrations and troubleshooting
  • Proactively detects and corrects potential problems before they occur
  • Completes clear and accurate work orders documenting service provided, parts used, and the results
  • Completes all work orders in an accurate, complete and timely fashion
  • Maintains part inventory levels in company-provided service vehicle
  • Effective communication with company dispatcher to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
  • Follows all safety procedures and participates in safety training
  • Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment and tools
  • Inspects company vehicle and alerts management of necessary or required maintenance/repairs needed on the vehicle in a prompt manner
  • Serves as the face of the company by providing a positive, professional demeanor and image
  • Participates in rotating on call schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager
